The design of the washi lights draws inspiration from a traditional Japanese fishing village. Alongside the use of trained cormorants for fishing, lanterns were once hung to attract fish to the water. These lanterns were crafted with bamboo ribs and covered in delicate paper, creating a light, organic structure.
For the Akari-light Floor Lamp, mulberry paper was chosen for its soft translucency. It gently diffuses the light, creating an even, calming glow that brings warmth and quiet texture to the space.
